Sound Incorporated Makes Donation to Naperville Area Humane Society

Recently, Sound Incorporated held an employee Art Auction. There were 26 pictures that were being recycled from the office and were placed in a lively employee silent auction. The auction was held in the Sound Incorporated warehouse, which was temporarily renamed Studio 1550. The Sound Incorporated staff and technicians participated in the silent auction, that was open for over a week and raised $500 for the Naperville Area Humane Society.

A check was presented by Sound Incorporated to the Naperville Area Humane Society’s Director Anna and puppy Claire. Claire was very happy and full of thankful puppy kisses for the gift. There are many needs at the facility, that include cat and dog food, paper towels, toys and medical needs to name a few. The Naperville Area Humane Society also shares donated pet food with Loaves & Fishes in Naperville. Loaves & Fishes is an organization that helps local families in need, which includes helping feed the pet members of those families.

During the tour of the facility, there were many pets looking for forever homes. The Naperville Area Humane Society provides safe spaces for puppies, kittens, adult dogs and adult cats. This week they will also be receiving animals from Texas, due to Hurricane Harvey. They are taking in animals who were already in shelters in Texas to make room for displaced pets caused by the Hurricane, in hopes to reunite them with their local families.

The facility is beautiful on the inside and the outside too. Pictured below are some examples where Local Eagle Scouts completed their Eagle Scout projects at the Naperville Area Humane Society. The Eagle Scouts built some of the outside dog play units, as well as indoor living and playing spaces for the cats.

If you’re interested in adopting a pet or making a donation please contact them at 630.420.8989. They also have some great fundraising events coming up. One upcoming event is Barktoberfest, which is being held on Thursday, September 28th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. For a $20 donation you will meet the pets, complete with beer tasting from Off Color Brewing and food.

Thanks to the Humane Society for looking out for all the animals in need.
