Sound Incorporated Selects Energy Efficient LED Lighting from Mode Green Building Solutions Incorporated to Demonstrate Green Efforts

Sound Incorporated, a multi-faceted single source provider of advanced communication systems and equipment, partnered with Mode Green, a "green" business providing turn-key energy solutions, as part of its efforts to positively impact the environment and to promote greater awareness of environmental issues among its clients.

Mode Green retrofitted 481 fluorescent 40-watt tubes with 17-watt LED tubes in warm white. Sound Incorporated benefited from the government’s Federal Energy EPACT tax reduction as well as an incentive rebate from their local utility company, ComEd. Sound Incorporated also received a grant from the City of Naperville "Greener Business Program" of up to $10,000. With the rebates, grants, and energy savings available, the return of investment is projected to be 15 months. All of these programs kept initial costs of the project at a minimum.

The initiative with Mode Green is not the only thing Sound Incorporated has done to pursue its environmental sustainability goals; recently, they have required their Project Managers within the company to become LEED certified enabling them to educate other employees and their customers on industry standards and initiatives.
